I also like audio books on CD, though.
After a few years of on-line book reading, however, I was quite a bit more used to the method, just like I had gotten acclimated to audio books. I had already begun to buy publications online for almost every purpose. I bought sports publications online, text-books online - you name it. Not only did the web allow me to buy printed publications cheaply, but it also allowed me to get into many things that were out-of-print.
Reading books on line isn't really that good for modern literature that you can buy in the store. You might as well either buy it or borrow it from the library, or listen to it, with books on cd. The great thing about publications online, however, is that you may often find very old ones with very little trouble. Resources like Project Gutenberg allow you to get into the great classics of literature from all times and places all over the world. As long as it's no longer copy-protected, you can legally put the book online.
Naturally, the area where books on-line have the greatest advantage of all is with audio publications. The great thing about audio publications online is that it's so much more expedient than having to borrow them from the library or go to an audio book shop. Instead, you can simply down-load them to your computer and listen to them at your leisure. If you would like to take them with you, you can place them on an iPod or burn them on compact disk. Audio publications online make a lot of sense.
