Why Do I Need A Polish To English Translator
Last week I visited Poland from England. Being an Englishman I certainly did not know the Polish language, therefore I experienced lots of issues due to this. I wanted somebody who could have translated the language, i.e. I needed a translator Polish to English, however I could not find one.
The issues began from day one of my visit. The hotel I was living in shockingly did not have any fluent English speaking attendants. Just the manager was able to talk with me. From the door keeper to the waiter, everyone Polish! Frustrated I made a decision to take a stroll around the hotel. While roaming, I found a Flower vendor - lovely daffodils and sweet roses loaded her flower bouquet.
I asked her about the cost of one flower bunch but the lady just kept looking at me for 5 long minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I decided to get a little boy who could translate Polish to English. But as I mentioned I searched, but could not locate one. The tour hence had this type of incidences all the while.
Thankfully my job was not of speaking with the Polish people much, therefore I was able to focus on my work. Occasionally such events cropped up to amuse me, that people can be so reluctant to learn the worldwide language. You may say that was true patriotism, but in the search of real patriotism they lost some foreign currency which could have had certain impact on the economy!
But I was too ignorant to go into a foreign language country without knowing anything regarding them. Now that I have came back, I am studying the Polish language - at some level. Finally as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I used a translation Polish to English software program for the last statement)
